Looks likea nice package overall I do like the looks of those headphones. The card is nice to but sadly the EAX support may not be up to par.

No one seems to know this card's specs. They haven't even put them on the site. I agree it is too bad it will have sub par EAX especially since it is a "Gamer's" card. Being EAX is probably the only thing that differs most cards from being pure audio or gamer's except the x-fi fatal1ty with the x-ram. So what is it that actually makes this card a "Gamer's" card?

Hi I have the head phones and GOD out of this world but you would have thought you could just use the USB lead to make them work.

Or is there a way to do it?????????????????????????????

Headphone $130, the actual card no one knows.

zac since you own the headphones shouldn't the manual tell you? Could try their forums also.

it's an oxygen 8 channel dolby live chip developed by C-Media.

It's also used on the Bluegears B-Enspirer and the Auzentech HDA X-Meridian.

http://www.bluegears.com/images/b-Enspirer_keypart.jpg

Software looks custom though. EDIT: Sorry, looks like just a skin on the default software.

Strange RaZeR quote 117dB SNR whereas C-Media quote 110dB SNR for the Oxygen chip which they used.

Really? The sound card might not be so much of a gimmick then.

is this better than X-Fi XtremeMusic for example ??

gonna be used only for gaming and media playback

If you have a receiver or solely use quality stereo headphones then this card will be better than the X-Fi. Dolby headphone technology will slap EAX silly if using headphones.

If you have computer speakers that do not include a dolby digital/dts decoder then get the X-Fi for gaming.

Until specs are out and more of what it is designed with, it may still be a gimmick or just a copy of the X-purity prototype like most other Oxygen using soundcards coming out are. 200 for it? That is insane the X-meridian will cost that much and is gold plated etc.

Most newer cards will be better than the xteme-music at media playback but as for gaming the card will lack any EAX higher than 2.0.
