Hi

I am on a very tight budget, I need a highly overclockable system which may or may not be the best performance for money hardware.

Please suggest me a good CPU + Mobo in sub 150$, which can achieve atleast 20-30% overclocks at stock cooling with value RAM. I am open to S939 as well.

The motherboard must be either Asus, or Gigabyte, or MSI. Please specify how high does that mobo go?

an old XP1700 and a NF2 motherboard would do nicely, under $100, and I got 100% OC on it

Intel setup with cedarmill celeron or P4 630, you can get higher % OC.

used dfi nf3 and a new sempy 2800+, thats what my backup system is and it overclocks from 1.6ghz to 2.8-2.9GHz fully stable.

could probably get that for under 100 total.

I have an NF3 board I'd be willing to part with for 50 bux and the egg has 3400 venice cores for 80 bux. My son has the same setup it runs 275X10 1:1 on air with some ocz TCCD in there.

Why not just get an opteron 144 (939) $79, and like an asus a8n-e or gigabyte K8n...they're both about $80...probably could find something alittle cheaper @ newegg...you can hit like 2.9ghz+ stable

wow 2gb DDR is expensive...$205 is the cheapest non-used kit availble and its cas2.5-3-3-7.

i was going to recommend the Biostar TForce 6100, since they're good boards. better than any asus or msi ive ever used.

Indeed the biostar with any 939CPU even 3000+ Venice will works fine up to 2.5GHZ if we assumed that he got very bad steeping and the biostar has on board VGA
