Asetek Vapochill LS R507 Modded -50 in bios
Intel X6800 ES
Intel QX6700 ES
Nvidia Nforce 680i SLI mainboard
Nvidia 8800GTX Stock heat sink
Corsair Dominator 9136 C5D
Corsair 620w PSU

Its cooling off here in Vegas and a warm winters night breeze through the window gets me a ambiant 27c temp inside my case.

I am using Ntune software to adjust the video card clocks to 686/2200 for my benches. I pulled the heatsink to check out mounting and replaced the thick gray TIM with some Zalman thermal grease ZM-STG1 and this enabled a slightly higher overclock, it gained me about 25Mhz benchable.

The maximum memory overclock possible with Ntune is 2200Mhz, to reach higher speeds you can use Powerstrip.

For my benches I did not adjust LOD or any setting in the control panels. I was getting best frame rate on all tests with just loading the driver and benching. No quality changes were made.

Nvidia has made huge advancements in image quality, its drastic and without a doubt Nvidia holds the IQ crown. I have pushed the card to max possible detail in many games, for one Flight Simulator 10 maxed out flying in Las Vegas or NY City was a truely boggling display of the cards performance.

QX gives some nice increases in 03 and 06...but not spectacular though...was expecting 15k 06 for sure.

EDIT: just saw fsb...perhaps 10x420 (ddr2 840 ) cas 3 action would be better no?

The IQ is the best thing I have heard in a long long time. Thats just wonderful. I was really worried about this as for me . It is the no.1 concern. Way to go NV.

Nice that you can have -50 Readout in BIOS :D

Pure ownage :p

BTW are you happy with the Zalman ZM-STG1 grease? I read a test of it where it beated Artic aluminade with a few degres. But never got it confirmed from a different source :)

Awesome results, are these cards already sold out everywhere? I need to see more benches for GTS before a leap is made.

Are you kidding me?! He went from a CPU score of 3632 to 6072 @ practically the same clock speed! That's one heck of a boost!

Still trying to get my head around the idea of 20K+ in '06. :slobber: Awesome cards of course but the CPU is really making its "mark" on '06. Oh ... and I suppose the '03 is pretty spectacular as well.

Nice rig you get there but for single card result X6800 and QX6700 got the same score in SM2 and SM3 that means single GTX bottleneck Conroe

What frequencies for the two GPUs and RAM ? and Voltage, and Software used ?

In ATi Tool i have 575 slider and 450 slider, not suposed to be 900 for the DDR ?

When i raise the Freq DDR i go black screen

OK solved the problem with : ATi Tool .25 Beta 16 build 8

At 1066Mhz the memory start artefacts , but i'm not sure, too feww artefact and i'm smoking and watching singers at the TV :D

It is safe to go up to find the truth ? :D

I use Ntune to clock the cards. Stock heat sinks and voltages. I am reaching 686/2200 for 2K1 but I have to back off to 676/2200 for 2K6.

Rivatuner to adjust LOD but I find it best to just leave it at stock settings from when it is first loaded.

Carbon looks and plays unreal, final tier of 25K races now. Thanks Kunaak for the wide screen fix.

Its safe to find the limits benching but run it at stock speed for gaming. A single GTX is better than what was previously available.

Which nForce driver did you use? I'm getting funky results from 97.02 beta.

How well does the Corsair supply manage SLI/Kent's? You'd think a 620w supply (even a decent one) would have probs.

Amazing results. You are very brave to OC your 8800 Gtx. If i can ever afford one I think that I will wrap it in bubblewrap.
