Hi people, how are you?
Well, now im having the CPU @ 2.8ghz and the mems @ ddr400 2-3-3-6, 'cause they don't seem to be perfectly stable in other setups, without losing performance.
This week i'll prolly buy 2 more 512mb sticks, of the same brand (SuperTalent)
What should i do after putting them together? it should be dual channel i guess..., do i have to loosen timings or lowering the cpc? id be glad if you could answer me.
Specs in sig and in the thread title.

Looking forward for answers.
Cheers, [V]

I believe you set it to 2T and then it should work fine at your timings.

Does lowering cpc to 2t implies a performance loss in games?

Running 2t does give you a little hit in performance, but the extra ram should make up for it. I ran 4x256 sticks for a while in an ultra-d without issues. The only problem is if the spd timings don't match, it will not boot.

2T is a little slower but clearly it is more valuable to have 2 GB.

However, "the same brand", as you put it, does by no means ensure compatibility. Some of the DFI boards are very picky.

What if i leave CR @ 1t and loosen timings? I believe that timings have less impact in gaming performance, am i right?

Won't work, and they are about the same impact. And the impact is negligible in real-world performance anyway. Unless you run an old game in a benchmark at 150 fps or so.
