Finally had time early Sat. morning to sit down and get the basic mods done to the Badaxe, including:

1. Debug mod using jumper
2. Vdimm mod
3. Vmch mod
4. Extreme Vcore mod

2 & 4 are probably not needed for an aircooled rig, but are done to allow fine tuning voltages in between bios settings.:)

See attached picture for the modded board. Hopefully I'll have the time to put the system together this weekend and do a little ocing.

Don't worry Victor! NJKID is just worried that we'll be kicking his butt on the dual AMD's with the woodcrests!:D
These posts of his are just nervous energy because he is just plain scared!:ROTF:
The gauntlet has been tossed down!:stick:

Ok, last shot and then I'll get out of the thread also:
Eric: I'm not nervous. I'm just concerned where I'll get the cash to come out and help you set that up properly so that DDT won't feel he wasted his money on it. Promise, I won't tell anyone I fixed your mistakes.

Watch how hot these get. If you cant hold a finger to them, they're too hot in my opinion.. ;)

Well it's up and running burning in with two instances of WCG in XP Pro SP1 at 3.7G with the stock HSF. For some strange reason the Vdimm mod is not working. I'll redo the mod when I shut down to switch HSFs and PSUs.

What's your FSB and RAM at, Victor?
What are the temps at at 3.7 with the stock HSF? Which PSU are you moving to?

I get mid 60Cs in bios. Don't know what it is in XP under load, since I am having a lot of trouble getting monitor software to work on this board. I am using a 400W Silverstone and will swap it for a SPI 550 from the office on Monday.

3.7 was at 1333 + 11% with ram set at 667(FSB:RAM 4:5). It is now at 1333 +14% or 3.8.

That board will do 30% + 1333, confirmed. You still have room to go up.

The reported RAM ratio in speedfan is screwed. It seems to use the CPUs default strap to calculate RAM divider and therefore frequency. IE with the 1067 strap set in BIOS (with the FSB override set to 0%) and the 667 divider selected, the FSB:RAM ratio is 4:5. If the chipset strap is changed to 1333 then the FSB:RAM ratio is 1:1. However CPU-Z will show the FSB:RAM ratio as 4:5 in both cases.

Victor use Core Temp for monitoring temps.

attached below.

core temp ftw, when I am doing my OS overclocking I have an instance of that open to make sure I'm not cooking my cores. You doing this on an E66 or E67? Put that sucker under some monster aircooling/water and break 4 GHz :)
