So I got a 7000 agp off ebay to put on a mobo. 14 bucks shipped good deal. It is a and I quote
Ati DVI 7000 AGP card but I have 4 different brands of VGA to DVI converters but this is not one of them. They are all the same size as well as the 2 dvi cables I have. I even took the colar off one of them and it plugs in but it didn't work either. So what am I looking for? Is it a ?-DVI or a ?
Some one? Thanks, Scott

What card is in the bottom picture? Its definately not a 9700Pro.

Anyways, you need a DVI-I cable, although I believe the card can work with DVI-D as well (one or the other supports both formats).

that looks like a Dell card (ati card for dell). usually a splitter cable for dual screens comes with it...

btw why get a dvi card with no dvi screens?

nah no dvi cable will fit that.. its standard size, only difference is the "+"

if its "+" (on the side) its analog/digital... if its a "-" its only digital, and you cant put an adapter...

In that case, its 10 pins wide (dvi is 8)... Only time I saw that, its with dell PCs. It comes with 2 special cable that go plug to 2 VGA or plug to 2 DVI

dell makes a bunch of cables like that, and they will work with dvi screens. Obviously you wont get the full 'dvi' spectrum but it will work.

@ STEvil
both pics are just the card and the adpt to show the size difference. I have DVI cables but they don't fit it. :(

@ J_D
Cheap card and my PCI Voodoo3 died :( is why, I have a Dell 20" wide screen but this if for a cruncher on a KVM. Don't know if it is a Dell pull or not. So is there a 10 wide to vga adpt? Or put it back on ebay and try again?

http://www.sell.com/227V47 same part number and looks exactly the same

Dell FH3 DVI 32MB Graphics

As STEvil said, definately not a 9700pro. I want to say it's an original radeon.

Well hell. So the Y cable has reg. DVI ends once split?
Either way, I just might let him take this one back for a refund. It is going to cost more than I could snag 5 more for. :(

A 1/2 height 9700pro would have been really cool, though.. ;)

Here (http://cgi.ebay.com/25-AIT-RADEON-7000-AGP-VIDEO-CARDS-DELL-FH3-DVI-W-CABLE_W0QQitemZ110044602912QQihZ001QQcategoryZ4015 8QQcmdZViewItem)'s an auction with the same cards and the cables that go with them, so it looks like the part number is 05e911.

Here (http://cgi.ebay.com/DVI-I-to-Dual-VGA-Splitter-Cable-05E911-NEW-RADEON-DELL_W0QQitemZ110048492096QQihZ001QQcategoryZ41993 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)'s an auction for one of those cables.

So it looks like you'd have to probably pay $15 total :-/
