Has anyone successfully run a Radeon 9700 Pro in an Asus A7N8X?

I was wondering if anyone is successfully running an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro at 8X agp on the Asus A7N8X Deluxe, or regular motherboard. I have the Asus A7N8X Deluxe Rev2.0 and i cannot get it to run right at 8X, only at 4x. Please help!.. is this a motherboard or Videocard glitch? THanks

yes a friend of mine has a rav 3 9700pro @440/360 stock cooling and a 2400+ @2.45ghz and it runs great i think hes got like a 18,500 3d mark. your problem sound very strange though first ive herd . have you tryed reseating the card? you dont have another video card like a pci capture card in there do you? good luck though.

Yeah.. i have reaseated.. no capture card.

A buddy of mine just put that setup together and it's running fine for him. He's got the Asus A7N8x, ati 9700pro, and a xp2700. Not sure what he gets on 3dmark though. You can try to pm him, he's "Tick" here on the forums, but i don't think he frequents this place a whole lot, he's more into Sysopts.

Just today I've been tweaking my best aircooled rig, which is an Asus A7N8X with an XP2700+ and a Hercules Radeon 9700 pro. It's working at agp 8x just fine, and with 1.6v vagp I am running the agp bus at 75mhz.

It's running around 17.5k 3dmarks now but I had it up near 19k once before with a different cpu - it doesn't want to go much over 180fsb with this cpu so I think I might need to cut some bridges...
