someone should post a detailed explanation on how to open these using "wire" without damaging the cases.

Personally, I don't like the idea of fishing around for each individual tab. It just seems way too time consuming. Also, using a putty knife is pretty dumb. I found a nice, thin metal spatula with rounded edges in my kitchen that I used to open up the mac mini without scratching it.
