Temperature Question

At what temperature do you begin to damage your processor?

Idle I'm at low 50's but load I can get all the way up to the low 70's, is this too much?

Well depending on CPU, I'd say thats too hot personally. C2D's are supposed to be kept under 60c. I wasn't sure so I bought a $30 arctic cooler freezer pro 7.

Intel e6400 2.13ghz @ 3504mhz 1.475v (438x8/1:1) is my set up, my processor needs to be reseated badly, and I'm contemplating lapping..
