Is the only difference SATA & firewire, or is there more missing, like 6ch soundstorm?

I'm a bit confused, because some claim the NF7 has soundstorm (abit.com.tw), but other don't (some-one who actually bougth the board).

The pricedifference is huge, but i want to have soundstorm... does anyone now it for sure?

The NF7-S has the MCP-T southbridge, and the NF7 does not.

the MCP-T southbridge includes Firewire and Soundstorm support. the SATA is from an additional SiliconImage chip.

if you need soundstorm, the NF7-S is the way to go.

...but don't count on the SATA working. The soundstorm sounds better than the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz that I was using previously.

Works just fine on my 1.2

I can do without firewire & S-ATA, but soundstorm is very good indeed.

On the other hand, i'd buy it for testing/overclocking purposes only. 2ch sound is good enough for 3D marking ;)
