ASUS Update problems...

I am using P5WDG2 WS Pro mobo. I successfully flashed BIOS once already from AsusUpdate utility. No problem. Now, when I go to do the same thing again, the program won't even start, it just errors out. So, I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it from the mobo disk but....I have the exact same problem this member mentions in her post:


AsusUpdate won't install:

"NT service registry error! Please reboot NT and run again"

"No ASUS motherboard"
"Installation will be abooted now"

Yeah, they spelled aborted wrong :p

Anyone have any thoughts? I would like Asus update to work.

It's a problem cuased by Creative drivers not playing nice with Asus software. There is a registry tweak that lets me work around it for a given update reinstall.
