Outside it is 44 F, the cruncher room is 105 F and the heat isn't even on :D
I'm using it to heat my place :D

Well spread them out through the house!:D
A PC in the center of the kitchen table will do wonders to heat that room.
Two in the bedroom will take that early morning chill out.
Use Prescott's and even the floors will be toasty!:fact:
bathrooms and PC's really don't mix but a simple 120MM hole drilled through thew wall with some PVC ducting to the back exhaust fan will help pre-heat that room also.
Now for you northern folks, this is very important:
The garage. Remember last winter going out to start the car and it cranked over like it had liquid lead in it?
Set a cruncher at the front of the garage with some PVC ducting off of the back exhaust fan running under the front of the car and then one 90 degree fitting so that the nice warm air is aimed at the oil pan. Use 2 machines for double the effect.
Damn, we could write a book and even if it didn't sell for it's true value, it would sell as comic relief.
(NO BS, I do like that idea on the garage!:D )

I know the feeling. In my bedroom (10x10) I have my main rig, with the CRT of course plus the dedicated PIII cruncher under my desk, and my laptop (not crunching.)

It gets quite toasty. On some days if I keep windows & door shut, close to 80*F. Cant wait till winter. I always leave my heater vent closed, and these walls have zero insulation. :D

I bet you'd get some nice OCs with a rig in the garage with those New Hampshire winters. Hmmm, sub-zero air cooling...

says the man with an OS that only uses under 32MB of ram
If I can crunch on a 286, you can crunch on a PII

It's got XP Home on it now, it has all the drivers :D. Plus I actually use the thing. I have 256MB of ram on order anyway. :p:

arctic silver on the bedsheets?

I wish i'd thought of that as a joke, but i have previously knocked over an upsidedown heatsink on my bed.. with the result that i have a nice rectangle of it permenantly marked on them!

I think this thread is a little... OTT eh? LOL..

Anyway, I wish my rigs would crunch harder -- I'm freezing, it's only 68*F in here.

heh, more back on topic - My flat mates (i live in a university owned towerblock) were complaiing of it being cold as the hot water system was broken and th central heating wasnt working. Everyone walked into my room and commented on it being hot, one person even asking if they could borrow my electric heater. Only thing heating stuff up in here is My Pentium!

Hopefully be warm this winter with three rigs in this small room...
