So i finally got around to looking into those other Xeon servers I have..

http://www.needmoreboost.com/xs/uhoh.jpg

Now.. i think my moms might shoot me if she sees them ;)

Specs from top to bottom:
3x P3 Xeon 500mhz/100/512k
6x18gb hdd
2gb ram

4x P2 Xeon 400mhz/100/1mb
3x18gb hdd
512mb ram

2x P2 Xeon 400mhz/100/512k
3x18gb hdd
512mb ram

They used to all have 1gb cept i wanted 2gb in the one i'm keeping. I have one of them sold to my brother, whenever he gives me the cash and not sure where the 3rd one is going.

I have always loved the old-school Xeons :D

On what project are you going to put them? WCG?

Not sure yet. The top one has been running Leiden Classical because the downloads/uploads are much smaller. (dial-up)

Most likely i'll move it to WCG and maybe put the others on Leiden Classical till they're sold.

Mike ol Pal! Remember when we did all black rooms with the blacklights in the last 60's?:woot: :woot:
These guys missed seeing the Beatles LIVE on Ed Sullivan, Woodstock, The Doors! Free Love, read that as the pill was here and AIDS wasn't.
I remember getting teargassed at Manning Bowl in Lynn.Mass in 1966 when The Stones played there. the cops had never seen anything like it.
50,000 showed up, the bowl held 24,000, it got nasty at the end and the cops threw tear gas.

I remember them well, sort of:D
Never got gassed but did go to the Terlingua Chili cook off in Texas 3 years straight in the late 70's[google].

ON topic:) The servers look good, what kind of power usage does it have compared to a conventional build of say an X2?? I might get one as a novelty if I see one.

No clue mike. Don't own an X2. I will say this, my parents havn't said anything and i've been running the 3xP3 500mhz full load 24/7 for the last monthl.

Cool, it probably isn't much difference in power consumption. I can run a cruncher 24/7 for $7/9 a month. If it was a little more it would not matter.

ps. nice looking lass with you in the avatar.
