I think it'd be neat to get more people into this project too. It doensn't use CPU, or Internet (heavily.)

It counts your keystrokes, mouse clicks, and mouse traveled distance. Once in a while you double click the tray icon and the stats update. There are quite a few teams out there and XS has one already.

If you're interested, check it out. http://whatpulse.org/whatis/

I've been doing it for about 2 months now. Heres our team page.

along with this is BeWeS

which only has 4 members. it is a mouse tracker, you get 1 point per 1m

XS with just 3 or 4 of us producing is top 30 but still 600+ in the project.

I could use all the help we can get... MelyMel and Monster are around.. we are trying to catch InSanCen.

Sorry NickS but its the same type of DC might as well let it be known that both exist

I've been running whatpulse on my laptop since march or so, IIRC. Just installed it on my main desktop. I'll probably give BeWes a try.

Double Post :D

IM on with WhatPulse also, i really like the fact that it counts clicks too, i average over 1000 clicks a day and BeWeS only gives credit for distance... but it does it in Meters as opposed to miles.

FPS's here i come :D

Yeah you can run WhatPulse, BeWeS, and Project Dolphin (http://www.project-dolphin.nl/) simultaneously.

Free-DC stats for all 3 are here:

Hm.. weird. Maybe they conflict?

bullet2urbrain
10-04-2006, 08:11 AM
or maybe its because of the bluetooth hub that runs my keyboard, although it that was the case i shouldnt get any credit i dont know its a weird bug, if im missing out on some pts because of it.. then maybe i should investigate.

Does what pulse measure mouse travelled distance?

These projects are fun people so join them! They use nearly no resources and only help XS fairly pointless yes but also very fun!. I run Project Dolphin,Bewes,Whatpulse,TKC on all rigs alongside the major dc projects simply because there's no reaosn not to ;).

I have only installed it on one pc so had no issues yet but stabbing in the dark does your desktop have latest Java and .net2.0 installed?

Yeh, its fun. Good to see how on good days you can break the magical 100.000 keys barrier, I think my average is on ~40.000 when I'm on.

But definitely go for it!

If you are reading this... you should join MouseTracker. :)

It's easy btw, just go here:
:poke:http://bmt.bewes.be/downloads;)

(if it doesn't install at first, be sure to download that MSINET.OCX (http://bmt.bewes.be/dl/msinet.exe) file)
