Max 2GBHZ voltages?

I have seen people posting overclocks with this ram at ddr21000+ with over 2.3v. I have alwasy thought that 2.3v is about the max u should push into this ram. Could someone give me a clear answer on how safe (or damaging) it is to creep over 2.3v? Something comparable to a conroe over 1.55v (wont immediatly fry it but has yet to be seen how long they last) would be helpful. Btw, I have a 120mm fan blowing down on my sticks and good airflow in my stacker.

2.3-2.4v is fine if you have adequate airflow. FYI I have been running 2.35 for awhile now and no issue here.

Thx for the info. At ddr2-1000 4,4,4,12 2.3v I am stable up to 2049% memtest so I will just use 2.4v as my max.

hey mang, just for the record...in your sig, 2GBHZ doesnt mean anything tho...cuz speed is measured in Hertz(Hz), Giga Bytes(GB) is da size...
they are totally different stuff.....you can say 2GB or 2GHz(Giga Hertz)....but you cant say 2GBHz~lol...

yeah me too, i just got mine a few days ago from newegg and have them up to ddr540 with no sweat so far. actually i had to bring my processor down actually to get 32m stable....haha. i havnt had much time to play with it yet but hopefully i can get test it some more and see how high i can go. im really happy with them so far tho

I have DDR1 HZs and I love em. I got a good OCing batch.

I bet mine are better :p:. Mine will boot at 290MHz with 2.8v, and will do 285 stable at 2.8v all day long.

Had a screenie but the original got deleted, when I finally get my system back together and should my 170 prove a good monkey then I can get good OCs out of both RAM and chip. I don't have my 148 (in sig) currently but that was a well behaved opty as well.

wow not bad. did you guys buy the dual channel packs from newegg? i've heard that those were either handpicked or tested or something like that. is that true?

right now im at 270 @ 2.6v with the LDT bus at 1.2 and chipset also at the lowest setting. im pretty happy with the performance even if i cant go any higher. i managed to get a 27m51s 32m with it

I can't remember for sure but I think I got them from NE when they were like 180-200$ with rebate.

I got my HZs for $160 at Newegg back in march. AFAIK, I got mine from the second best batch ever made. I was about two weeks to late to get the best batch. Here (http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=95238) is a CPU-Z validation of them at 290MHz. I'm sure I could do 300MHz+ with 3v+, but I don't think it's really necessary. Especially not with this X2 4400. MAYBE on my 3700 Sandy, but this X2 doesn't clock as high and there's not going to be any need for anything beyond 280MHz at max.

Batch 0603, just like it says in my sig. They had a different numbering system then. AFAIK, weeks 0602 and 0603 were the best ever made. There may have been a better batch made since then, but I don't believe so...

how can you tell what week it is? ik its on the label but where?

The first four digits of the serial code used to be the week/batch. I think it's still the same.

i got mine up to about 285mhz without going any higher than 2.8v or loosening the timings much. i got my machine prime stable at 272x10 1:1 so im happy :)
