Got my 80GB iPod today.

I had one of the older 30GB Video Models and I traded it back in at work since I am lucky and can do that. So I ended up getting an 80GB iPod for free after the trade-in. I love it so far. I have played alittle games on it so far and loaded my entire music collection now that I have an iPod that can hold it all.

Anyone else planning on getting one? I got a white one. I have noticed the white ones tend to show scratches less easier than the black ones. I need to get a case for it though.

Are the 60GB and 80GB the exact same size?

i am trying to hold out to replace my 3G with the rumored widescreen ipod.

The 80GB is slightly bigger, its on the apple spec sheet.

I love it so far.

I am using Handbrake to encode all my movies. Testing out the "Instant Handbrake Beta" and it works flawless and keeps the file sizes down too.

yeah they dont make an ipod big enough for most music collections on here,

mine is relatively small @ 16,000 songs and 86 gigs.

Only 86GB? What quality? That seems rather low...Seems it should be more space...

all MP3 majority @ 196, some 320 some 128.

alot of short songs tho, intros and such.

Thats about spot on. My collection is 12,000 songs deep and 76.5gb. Most songs are 320kb MP3's and nothing in my entire collection is below 196. I'm definately diggin the fact that Apple finally released an iPod that I could fit my entire collection on, that's definately sweetness. Might look in to one soon.
