OK, i am attempting to move more or less completely over to Ubuntu for normal PC use, and therefore need to get it folding.
I have sucessfully installed BOINC, but when i try to attatch to project, after putting in my username and password, it says:
"Failed to attatch to project
Click finish to close.
Messages from server:
-Project encountered internal error: shared memory."
What should I do?
thanks.
What does your system log say?
Usually in /var/log or /var/adm directory

Did you used Ubuntu version from the repositories(Synaptic or apt-get) or did you use the installer from Wcg?

World community Grid shows up in the Project tab right?
Edit>I have a Boinc client crunching for wcg on linux myself. It has worked very good for atleast 5 days, but today i got this message
message from server:project encountered internal error:shared memory
Project is down
So maybe the boinc linux server has problems?
