PlayStation 3 to Emulate SEGA and TurboGrafx Games

Most should already expect the PlayStation 3 to be backwards compatible with original PlayStation and PlayStation 2 software, but the new word is that Sega MegaDrive/Genesis and NEC PC Engine/TurboGrafx systems will also be emulated. Certainly, this mimics Nintendo Wii’s Virtual Console feature. Pricing structure has yet to be revealed, but we expect something in the $5 to $15 range

I didn't get to buy PS2. I am gonna get PS3 no matter what. I miss RPGs. Darn, life got in my way and forced me not to buy PS2.
I missed many RPGs. PS3, I am not gonna miss. Playing the new FF on that console will be like playing in a dream world.

Well, I do find it weird. They are willing to pay so much for a computer component but often unwilling to pay for an OS you get to use for a long time.

The same goes for PS3 as well. It is a complete system for 500.
A mere card for 300 to 500ish.

Value wise, PS3 is a better case. At least it seems to me.

Is far more better investment to buy a console(with BR-DVD) that will play nex-gen games without any upgrade for 3-5 years than pay 600$ οr more every 6-10 months cause you are a consumerism victim :fact:

And of course Final Fantasy it's a reason to buy PS3.

I paid a lot for my x1900XT when it first came out. But I would never buy a console for that price...

Why would I pay $800 (CDN) for something that is not nearly as powerful as what is available now. Not to mention next gen cards will just destroy it in performance and visual quality. Not to mention far fewer titles.

in 1.5 years those games won't be next-gen because of the hardware limitaitons!!!!!! plus pcs can do so much more than consles!!!!! like fold and edit video. not to mention overclock!!!!!!:D

look at the first pic at the closest wall. it looks like crap!!!!!!!!! i have seen textures like that in comand and conquor renegad!!!!!:fact: :nono:

Console and PC gaming are personal preference. I don't see why the PC fanatics always have to say pc gaming is better like it's their job to; we get the idea. I personally like both, but console gaming is what I like more.

Is it just me or does anyone think that the only screen from above that has any chance of being an actual "in-game, during-game, screen shot" is the last one?
Not only are the other shots just at retarded angles, they completely lack any stat windows.
I'm still standing by the fact that 99% of the screens Sony releases are simply the game cut scenes and movies. Where is the actual game footage?

When you consider the upgrade path like eVGA's step-up or ebay....staying on the bubble, doesn't cost more then a game title does every few months.
Or if you want to factor in the stupid price of PS3 games....could very well be cheaper to maintain a cutting edge rig. Not to mention the better image quality, etc...
