I've a solder iron that i got in the US so it's a 110V iron, can i use it in Europe (220V) without an adaptator or should i use one nevertheless?
ps i was thinking that the goal of the iron is just to produce heat there should be no problem running on 220V (expect if it overheat a lot)

Actually, you might end up melting the cord on it. And it might melt the handle. Thats about the only thing I can think of.

yeah i just thought that the cord inside is made for 110V and it might not handle the exta voltage
