I tried doing the vdimm mod on my NF7 board, but I failed several times.

I tried just putting a pot in between the pin side of the resistor to the ground (found that one somewhere on the forums). no difference, no matter what resistance I used.

then I tried the same thing going directly from the pin of the chip.
again a no-go.

then I tried the mod with the mosfet leg to pin etc. again a no go.

ok so what am I doing wrong here? Some help would really be appreciated

guess what, I fixed it.
looks like the only way it works is to cut pin 19 from the board and set a VR in between it and the mosfet leg. no resistance = 0.15 overvolt, increasing the resistance value gives more overvolting.
about 50-200Ohms is usable so it seems.

well I just took the point of a needle, and sort of poked the pint until it became detached from the mobo :D

Well if your good with a soldering gun just touch it and it'll let loose real quick but be very very careful with that pin.

twiggy, I did that, but didn't notice there was some solder left on the soldergun. so I ended up soldering pins 18-19-20 to eachother.
then I just scraped them loose with the needle :p
