This purchase is to replace the sound card that is included with the AW9D-MAX and I'm going with external because I'd rather have the one and only PCI slot on the board free for the time being. I truely anticipate that the PCI slot won't be useable anyway with a card like the x1950xtx (I have a 7600gt). Though I'll probably end up having to get the cheaper sound blaster live unit since the audigy isn't available anywhere, but I digress, both pretty much the same? The Audigy 2 NX worth it's price? Or just get a better PCI sound card?

What say you XS?

Thanks punisher, but I'm going ahead and getting the x-fi pci card, I can't find the external audigy anywhere except one site off froogle, but I'm not risking it. Getting it local too so if the card gives me trouble like crackling I can just return it.
