I almost had an accident tonight.(of the damp kind) They installed the FIOS but the guy who did the install ahh, well, it wasn't working that great. Nice guy but hey, thanked him and got to work.
Hooked up to a 100mbit site and got 9k!
Played around, made some adjustments and next thing I know my buddy is shipping me some"files" from a 100mbit site at 1800K and I'm shipping 3 cd's on 3 threads at 80K each all at the same time...
1800K down and 240K up at the same time.. Dear Lord, Life is good!
Now to get something out of this on MJ12..

WOW!!!!! Thats a beautiful thing. I'm not sure what I'd do with that other than a bunch of MJ12 clients. Congrats on the new toy

I don't know about 20 clients but 3 is a definate possibility.
Let it run last night slowed way down while I did some other things and it's cranked app 880K today on MJ12..
I like to see pie once in a while. I'm not a big pie eater but it's nice occasionally.:D

Glad to help! Whay I need is to get a MJ12 geniius on the phone and check all my settings. I'm also seeing an issue with the actiontec M1424WR router that they put in with the install. Tends to lock every 8-12 hours.
I also keep running out of urls so if there's a MJ12 guru out there willing to help, give me a yell, I'll call and we can make sure I have the right settings so we can get to #2..oops, #1:D

New router is in and they said keep the other one so I have a spare.:D
Just ran some numbers and based on a 10 min breakdown if I can let this run a full 24 hours at full throttle it will do just over 4 million total in a day on the 2 installs..

You have to set it to use more pre-cached buckets :). If that number is high (I use 50 on a 4MBit line), you have a decent buffer to work with.

max out buckets in progress and pre-cached ones, max out workers, max out # of buckets ready to upload before stopping download, max out connection speed settings... yeah.

did a mild test tonight to see how the modded router is handling.
6 1/2 hours, just under 700,000 points on one machine with speed settings of 10,192 upstream and 1920 downstream, set for 80% usage, workers at 100, open url buckets at 35 and the modded router is as cold as my ex's heart!:D
Still have to get the other machine up and running, was down for a day while I worked on that dual opty..That's another story.

Later tonight I'll have the pics. My card reader is in the server that's down until then. I did lose a new connection this am and had to reboot the router even though it was VERY cool to the touch. That thin 80mm Zalman fan does a hell of a job in cooling it off. I mean maybe 40-50F difference.

if your Actiontec is anything like my GT701-WG, it can't handle DHCP well enough to keep from dropping connections

I picked up a Linksys WRT54GS, put the Actiontec in dumb mode and let the Linksys handle DHCP...now all is well:stick:

Then we will have to talk as I'm not up on that..Keep in mind that FIOS is different from anything I ever saw..You can't do a 'ipconfig/all" or ipconfig/release or renew from home, they(Verizon) have to release the ip..
