will it actually fit on there?

if it does, just make sure it's not sitting on the ZIF socket cam-box(the part of the socket that says "socket 462"). i killed my first Tbred A this way. :(

well, do you have a pic of the KG7? i could probably tell you if it'll fit by how the socket is oriented.

*edit* ok, it might fit if you take the fan shroud and mount it so the fan is on top of the heatsink instead of next to it. i've still got my PEP66, and i know it'll work. the screws just thread in between the fins of the heatsink.

anyway, be VERY careful that the heatsink is fully touching the die of the CPU. Athlon XPs are "shorter" than the older T-Bird chips, so it's harder to get the HSF to mount correctly.

There you go http://www.abit-usa.com/products/mb/kg7lite/
It's just for a test, i don't know if i'll keep that heatsink or sell it and buy a new one

10x felix, i try it anyway and it's working. The only thing is that the fan is half a cm over the heatsink, i don't know if it's a god or bad thing
