Sound Blaster Live! Value 4.1 vs regular onboard 5.1 sound

Just wonderin which one will be betta? I only use a 4.1 sound system, and i have no intention of upgrading my Logitec Z540 or something 4.1 surround.

Which sound chip do you guys thing will give betta quality?

better than which onboard audio? i'd much rather use the onboard audio on an NF7-S than a SB Live Value.

hmm.. just onboard audio in general. For example the ones like AC97 or something that i always hear about. Or what about the BH7 onboard audio? or ASUS P4G8X onboard audio? just wondering which will be betta...

and i'm also thinkin that by using a SB PCI card for audio, i'll have less stress on my MB, am i right?

i'd take a SB Live Value over AC97. otherwise, i'm not too sure what the onboard audio is like on newer Intel boards.

as for CPU usage, the SB Live Value would be better than AC97. newer onboard solutions are getting really good though. Soundstorm on Nforce2 boards is a good example.
