I am trying to help a friend with his new CPU and for some reason we can't get it to actually overclock.
set any HTT speed and it will always boot, looking like it's OC'd but get into windows, and then the HTT is always at 201 when overclocked.

I can't figure out whats going on.

I am about to update to the latest bios, and thats all I can think of...

any ideas whats going on here?

well DFI DAG-f is more of an OEM board than an overclocking board.

this board is a overclocking board and well capable of about 90% of what a Ultra D can do. I know cause I ran that board for about 2 months, and believe me, I never ran stock.
I started overclocking 2 days after I got my first computer, and have never ran stock since. including when I had a DAG-F.

I had a machine do this once. I was using an ESC board with my old Athlon 3000+. I had the HTT set up to 250 at times, and every time it booted, it booted at 200. 1.8ghz, no matter what I did.
