i cant belive im going to need a new psu. when my sys is fully loaded it shuts down i think its the overcurrent protection. it only happens when i run sp2004 with cpu0 testing cpu@ 2.8 1.6v and cpu1 testing 600mb ram@313mhz ,atitool at 650/616 gpu volts@1.425 and mem@2.108 my power supply is pcpower 510deluxe. now im sure how my cfx3200 is gonna clock and im sure this mobo sucks sume juice.

im also order a gpu mounting kit from dangerden because i need 2 more threaded poles im not getting good enuff contact

Maybe your memory can't handle it. I'd doubt the PS because PCPAC's are so good.

i sure its the psu, it use to do the same thing when i tried to hook up my tec to it

Hmm... Try memtest in the bios, or just hook up a bunch of fans to it or something. Maybe check it with a voltometer? I dunno. I'm just rambling on and throwing out ideas.

WIth just one VC, wierd
Prob your pump draws alot of amps?

msimax
09-12-2006, 07:21 PM
it has a 34a 12v rail
1pump
4hd
mb
cpu x2 3800 @ 2.8 @1.6
4 120 panaflow
3 fans
cdrom
vid card that said i was pulling 40a in atitool
tccd 313@2.74 or 335@ 2.85 512x2
auzentech hda x-plosion 7.1 dts connect

maybe too much ???

I will bet the X1900AIW draws the most power of any single core GPU ...but a PC Power & Cooling PSU??? That doesn't look right.

Your results should be loads better on water. Looks like you have major restrictions on intake airflow, if you have any fans.

40 amps is the v.core amperage. Look take 40 x 1.55 vcore then add 75W to get the amount that you are loading at. Not exact but closee enough. Of cousre the 1.55 vcore is the max and just a guess. Could be much lower.

PcP&c sells high quality units but guys cmon it's still going to max out at 510W. However this should not be happening to your unit. It is a single rail yes? If so then there is no crossload problem due to rail distribution. How much wattage is the pump? The cpu may draw lets say 140W however that's monly around 12 amps. Then the video card another 10. Even so you have a good amount left. Everything else should take less than 10 amps...

I have seen 53+ amps pulled with 1.3 vcore, this card just pulls a freeking TON of power...

I have some Thermaltake 660W PSU in my T2600 Yonah rig, and it easily hits current protection :(

53*1.3+75 = 150 watts! thats alot for VGA! :)
