...right now I'm using an AX7. Looking for something a little better without all the noise. I haven't seen much on this particular heatsink. From what I have seen, the SK7 doesn't work well with the TMD fans but the SLK is supposed to have been designed for them. I know that the SLK800 and900 are the top dogs right now, but like I said, I like the idea of using a quieter TMD fan.

how about a SLK800 or 900 with a quieter fan? although i have heard Thermalright heatsinks don't work that well with low flow fans.

or you could always 7v the fan.

...It appears that the SLK700 isn't widely used, I ordered one anyway, $30 INCLUDING the 36 CFM TMD fan, not a bad price.

...I used prime 95 to put the system under a load with my old AX7 and the SLK700. At full load the temps are the same - ... 41C ...

The good news is that although the temp. is the same, the SLK700/TMD combo is quite a bit quieter.
