As the title says, what is the difference?

i am thinking about putting an x2 on WCG as soon as my 1900xtx comes in.

The BOINC version gives you points across both stats... Its about a 7 multiplier that you get from when your BOINC credits are converted to UTC. Something like that.. The BOINC client is a better option.
