 Win xp Pro installed fine with a single 256 stick of DDR on a KX7-333R. I remove the 256 stick and install 1 512 stick in its place and win xp trys to boot but just keeps restarting. At times I get blue screen with stop errors. If I remove the 512 stick and reinstall the 256 it boots and runs fine. Anyone know what's goin on? Thanks

Might wanna try going into the bios and relaxing the ram timings. The larger stick probably can't handle the settings you've got set for the other stick

Look within the bios for an option for apic, if it's there, try disabling it. You might even wanna try the same if you've got acpi. It's something like that;)

run memtest from dos and see if you can pass it
if you can't there is your issue
maybe try upping vdimm to see if that helps
or maybe even a diff ram slot

Switch to win2k :)
When i tried XP on my sys, i had to relax my timing to make it boot while win2k was stable as a rock
