i nvr instal the Nvidia IDE drivers cause on some forums people say they suck and the Windows IDe drivers etc are better.

is that true and if so is it stil true or has Nvidia improved them in their last few chipset drivers?

Only time I've ever used them was when I setup a pata raid otherwise I avoid them like the plague. Some have reported no issues with specific hardware but generally I think it's best to stick with proven performers.

I've always installed the Nvidia IDE drivers... never had a problem.

Is there a way to get around using nvidia drivers when running raid? If so what drivers could be used with windows installation at F6.
