I would rather play that horrible Tony Hawk game that launched with the 360 in SLOW MOTION then play this game after I just paid $600+tax for a PS3.

Funny how everyone wanted to believe all the hype. How can people be so blinded by a company. They did the same EXACT thing when the PS2 launched.

I'm sure there will be people that come up with tons of excuses for why games look so horrible but for those of us that live in reality we know that there is no excuse for things to look that bad. People need to just stop trying to justify why they show loyalty to a company that lies to them and is only out for there money (just like everyone else). You know the people that swear that Sony cares about there costomers more then other companies. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?

not impresssed at all... PS3 isn't gonna be much faster than the 360 anyway , only reason to buy it would be for an all in one blue ray player/Game machine/Folding machine.... and for people who love sony only titles like Final Fantasy...

I'll bash it all day because...

1.) I have every right too.
2.) Because from people with ON HAND EXPERIENCE with the dev kits (which are going to be exactly what the finished hardware will be) have told me personally how crappy the console is.

Have any of you seen or used the PS3 dev kits? I'm guessing not. From first hand experience I can tell you that I'm honestly not even remotely impressed.

Do I think they will still sell well? Yes I do. Why? Because Sony does a great job of marketing which is just another way of saying they lie to there customers.

I guess everyone can believe what they want but I would feel bad if I didn't share my own experience. And it is not just me and the few game programers that I'm still friendly with....it's basically an entire industry consensus. When you try and discredit the entire industies consensus on the topic then it really seems to me that you just don't want to know the truth and rather live in fanboy denial.

i hope you guys are all kidding. though these shots aren't as "impressive" as those released prior just consider the fact that perhaps these are actually ingame shots not spruced up afterwards in a vid editing program.

i would like to see this in fluid motion as in comparison to most games the textures and lightning are quite impressive.

i'm sure they could do better (they allways do) however, this here is what a CG movie using top dollar equipment 8 years ago looked like.

and now. its a playable game.

I'm going to buy it. I guess I just don't judge on screenshots taken from an unfinished game which are then posted on a forum. You know, since that's that's EXACTLY what the PS3 is going to do. Get a life everyone, or go play your 360.

The PS3s graphics are not going to be any better that anything that we can see today, fgs its just a 7800(GO!- because of its lower clock speeds and limited memory bus width - 128 bit -). The X360 has an R500 which is essentially half of the R600 but in terms of raw power will bow down to an R580 (inc. R580+) and so current visuals on this console may be marginally better, the visuals on the PS3 will start looking like any current gen PC game a couple of months after it is released.
For example here is a screenshot of CSS on my PC:

A 7800 would be able to get those graphics but it would be very unplayable and so to say that the graphics out of the screenshot above is "unfinished" is a load of bollox. At best we will see some nice FMV sequences out of the PS3, stop expecting the PS3 to have amazing graphics!!! The only thing good about it is the Cell processor, which is bollox for gaming.

those graphics are not that bad actually. the edges are perfectly smooth, the lighting is detaild, and to really appreciate it you need to see it at 60 frames per second. screenshots of that res on a 360 are jagged and the textures are noticeably blocky, but ingame play is still really good.

Hmm first of all, Untold Legends was one of the worst PSP titles I've ever seen, so it's not a surprise it's PS3 version is also crappy.

TGS2006 coverage, be sure to select Playstation 3 in the combobox, and download the HD versions. You should start with:

FFXIII, White Knight Story, Resistance, Heavenly Sword, Gran Turismo HD, MGS4 (new trailer 9/20), Devil May Cry 4, Monster Kingdom, F1, Lair.

Those show the real graphics the PS3 will deliver.
