well, for beginners Suse is great, but once you kinda get to know your way around, it can be a bit of a pain... personally i use RedHat, especially now that they've got a new ver. out, it has the latest of everything, and anything that's not, it's pretty easy to get the new ones and install them with RPM's... KDE is a gui(graphical user interface), you have several other options that are "better", but kde is good to start out with, you can make it look/act about as close to winblows as your gonna get... anyways, my current setup is RedHat 9 with KDE 3.1 :)

well, being almost totally command line, I like all BASH distros. My fav gui is going to have to be RH9, with SuSE close second, but that's just cause I like KDE. BTW, Mandrake 9.1 stinks.

Mostly Red hat. I'm still waiting to install rh9.
I like what I've seen of Gentoo so far also.

Im in love with Gentoo. The emerge process is great, i love how customizable it is, so on. The only reason im still using windows a little bit is to run benchmarks and to play games that i cant emualte with WineX

All of them, except Lindows - and that's only because of the licen$ing co$t.

Anyone for FreeBSD?

Doing UNIX since 1983, BSD since 1985, Linux since 1995, and they just keep on impressing me...

Gentoo :)
Source-based distro, compile everything yourself, see all the programs the way they are "supposed" to be..

I use Gentoo and Debian at the moment. I'm liking Gentoo a bit more, but only because I can't seem to get KDE looking decent in Debian :)
