Bleedin' hell.

Just been sorting out boxes as my room has finally been decorated and was so shocked to come across these old beauties! - I was so shocked to see them, so I dunno why... but I thought I'd post them on here as someone may appreciate "the way things were back in the day"... and such!

(Sorry for quality - my camera is an old Canon 2.1MP thing)

Only question is what to do with them now?!?!?

Put under the glass. I will go to look for stuff like this in my basement ;)

Raise the aperature level on your digicam (I think mine is around 8.2 for closeups) and you will be able to take a clear pic.

No chance Sanborn. Can't even find the option in there. There's "exp" and an option for the colour (cloudy, day light, black & white etc.)

*Just seen your sig, and thought "8 fans!?!?" - then I just seen they are 8.9dBA?!?!? WOAH!

Is that a 1133Mhz Pentium 3 I see there? I wonder if it's one of the faulty ones. ;)

I always thought the P3 was a very clean, handsome looking cpu, lol.

486 SX. That was my first CPU ever at 12yrs old.

25MHz and no FPU. I remember the days of an FPU socket. lol. I'm starting to feel old.

It’s a Pentium 3 Mobile from my brothers old laptop that meet the pavement .. the HD and other components were fine.. the screen though didn't make it .. so we gutted it .. and I kept the cpu :)

Moonraker, you have the wrong guy in your sig.
You should be having Ron Burgundy (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0357413/) in that pic :D

Anyway i have an idea what you could do,
sell them and buy a decent digicam :D

AMD techs were part of Intel a very long time ago, but they started for themselves. Maybe they let Intel produce chips for them back then.

Yeah, back then almost ALL the cpu's were licensed intel clones

It's the Boosh my dear friend. The Mighty Boosh. A show here in England... the funniest thing ever on TV. Of course, only if you've not got a crap generic sense of humour!

Actuallies... my new phone was ordered today. 5MP. So I won't need a digi camera. But if I did, my missus has a really cool one she brought from Japan recently.

Something you could realistically do is set up a nice smoothwall rig with one of those (preferably the fastest chip). There are always uses for older chips.

yep.

lets see, the rest of the specs:
-4MB RAM
-118MB HDD
- 5.25 floppy

I remember showing my dad how to install the "multimedia kit", lol
Crappy sound card with an IDE controller for the CDROM, that was 2x. WOW it DIDN'T use cartridges. And a set of speakers, that still work. lol.
