 Well, I run 2 SATA HDDs in a RAID 0 on a NVidia NF4 chipset (DFI LANPARTY board), now I want to install an ASUS P5WDG2-WS Professional with the 975x chipset.

I wonder if the ASUS board uses the same RAID controller and if I can connect my drives without losing the raid or formatting it.

Has someone an idea? Thanks !!!

No, it doesn't use the same chipset...hence, why on earth would it have the same RAID controller?

Yes, you will have to reformat, otherwise, your computer will crash often and you will receive the lovely BSOD.

or you could just install the new chipset and raid drivers before moving the drives. should take care of everything

Install new chipset drivers and raid drivers BEFORE YOU shutdown. Otherwise you are :banana::banana::banana:ed.

Yes, will try it this way. Of course I'm going to install the drivers before I shut off.

Then connect the drives to the new mobo.:)
