i've got myself a DS3 and E6300 with two sticks of corsair PC4300 533MHZ 512x2 kit and started overclocking.. the results are amazing(for this memory.. the cpu isn't even starting to overclock well :P.. he can do alot more than that:D)

Congrats, nice OC. You're lucky, either that or I'm very unlucky.

Are you using the F4 BIOS? Mind sharing what you have all of your settings in the BIOS set to? With a E6400, I can't even get to 320 on the FSB. I've changed all of my settings and cleared the CMOS so many times my brain hurts.

i dont know.. its just working fine :)
thing is - i need better memories to continue.. or a ram divider under 1:1 :(

the ds3 wont allow for anything but 1:1 right? sorry i just got mines and am totally new to intel OC

There is already a thread: The Official Core 2 Duo Overclocking Thread. Why do you need a new one? Can't you place your test over there? 2.8GHz is nothing out of the ordinary :nono: If it was something like 3.5GHz stock cooler, then it's fine, but in this case :stick:

for you guys stuck at low FSB make sure your memory multi is set to 2x and NOT auto.
