To all Big Typhoon users... i used the sticky back foam for the back plate as the board has solder pins sticking out the back which would given me an uneven surface if i didn't peel off the plastic covering the sticky foam...

so how do you remove it to ensure it can be reused on other motherboards ? hair dryer to heat it up ??? or shear brute force ?

I used the Typhoon mounting gear to mount my Hydrocool 200EX on LGA775 platform so would like to be able to reuse the backplate etc

Oooo err.. if it's anything like the scythe ninja backplate, I say just leave it on there and don't risk killing the motherboard :/

I installed it that way on my Abit AB9 Pro and i think i'm just going to maybe sell the board and the TT BT as a combo and get a Thermalright SI-128 as a replacement lol.

I found it really hard to get off, so it's still on one of my motherboards.

I never used it. I stuck with the backplates that were already on the motherboards (DFI ultra-d and Asus A8R32-mvp). I would say a hair drier and some twisting of the backplate once it was warmed up enough should do the trick.

when you do heat it up, watch out when touching the metal, i might burn.

i left the foam on and just got some neoprene tape to use the bakplate next time. ends up way better as the tape is only one sided so it doesnt stick to the mobo.
