View Full Version : Will a 1.25W resistor work for the 8RDA VDD Mod?

So today I head down to RadioShack in search for a .75W, 1K, 15 turn variable resistor so that I can begin modification on my 8RDA+; but then I find out they don't have any nor do they plan on carrying any anytime soon :(

However, I did find a 1.25W, 1K, 15 turn variable resistor there, and I'm wondering if that would work for the same mod.

Would there be any difference between the two?

Would this difference affect me enough that I should order the resistor online?

Thanks. :)

Yes it will work. It will actually work better then the .75w resistor.

It can just handle more current than the .75 watt one. But it doesn't really make any difference for this application. I have a .25 watt fixed resistor on my board for the vdd mod and it handles things just fine.
