All you guys are having fun with your Conroe's and mine's just sitting here. I sent off my blown up DS3 and my P5W doesn't get here 'til Monday. :( So, be bored, I decided to be proactive and lap some stuff. :D DANG. Very nice surface contact. Sould be worth a degree or 2.

and nice polish job guy.
i cant find a single place in this puke arse town that has anything over 800 grit.
really peeves me but at least wet sanding 800 grit gives a decent smoothness.

did you try autozone? thats where i found... they have up to 2000 grit

I haven't lapped a processor since my P4 1.5... Seeing this thread really made me want to do my Conroe + Zalman now....
