audigy2 zs or 4???

which is better? cuz audigy 4 is only 71.99 before a 30 mail in rebate .... and the audigy 2 zs is like 64.99. i need a card that can hit very low bass ( 30 and lower ) because most of what i listen to has alot of bass.

I guess if your speakers are really good then go for the 4 .. but I don't think either card will output base any differently, that really up to the speakers/sub.

true, but some sound cards distort on low frequencies. see my soundcard it hooked upto my radio.

Anything in the audigy range has enough range to give what you need. The thing that really makes the difference is the hi-fi or amp you use with it. You can pick up a proper seperate system amp or dvd decoder relatively cheap on ebay, and that will be able to amplify it up without distortion.

Do you need gaming features or surround sound? If not there are much better solutions than creative.

consider X-Fi, Prodigy 7.1, Prodigy XT or ESI Juli@
even a Chaintech AV710 will kill Audigy series

I have always thought that the audigy 2s are better than the 4s anyway? i thought that the 4s were more of a budget option... :confused:

Wrong. Audigy4 are better than 2zs due to better DAC's.

I know the audigy4 pro has better dacs, but what about the vanilla audigy4? Also does the audigy4 resample everything to 48khz like the audigy2?
