I can run this memory 4:5 at 456 MHz 5-5-5-15, but if I switch it to 1:1 365 MHz it fails memtest(at CL4 or CL5,) much any faster does not even POST. I know I may be close to maxing something else out but I can't understand how running the memory faster could help? I had 4:3 3-4-4-10 working but I want 1:1! I had it up to 480MHz 1:2 5-5-5-15 stable with a Prescott. More and more this memory looks like a very bad choice for Conroe/Allendale systems.

not sure it helps but what is your FSB? i had 1:1 problem on P5WDH with other kind of ram at about over FSB 400+ with 1:1 divider.. the trd of the motherboard is at 6 but once i go over 400FSB i found out it actually needs 7. that is why it doesn't post (for over 400 only)

Tye highest I've POSTed it is 374MHz. That was at 4:3. 4:5 will POST a higher FSB than 1:1.

My problem is either the mobo or the RAM. With all the problems this RAM has had with AM2 and the I965 I think it's the culprit. I think I'll RMA it as it dosen't seem to work with my Allendale and go with another brand. Any good DDR2 kits at like $200?:hehe:

to me i totally give up for 965
1st my x6800 can't do 4G... only 3.9G at P5B DLX
2nd although ram seem like gets higher.. but i found out it is happen to GKX.. GMH are appear the same overclock..

I'm thinking my mobo has a problem running the 1333 strap. :(

Or more likely the RAM has problems with the 1333MHz strap.
thanks for any help

I replaced the mobo and have the same wall. But at 5-6-6-18 4:3 I can post to 430 MHz. This RAM stinks.
