Both of the MJ12 clients that I run keep on shutting off at various points during the day, and since I'm not at my house all the time, they can go up to 7-8 hours without running.

Don't hook it up :D

No, serious, it sucks, I had the same when I hooked up my workstation. I set the maximum bandwith to use lower, did the same with the number of workers. MJ-12 has the stupid habit of over-using your connection, no matter what you set your limit to. It'll just use more bandwith if available. Try and set your settings a bit lower on both rigs.

I'm on vaca with only my T42 and POS Sprint card. I will return Thurs Aug 12, then I'll contribute again. Rigz at home are shutdown. Now is your chance for my pie.

I've stopped MJ-12 as it was sucking all the bandwidth from Red Library where we really need some help to catch ars and F-DC :(. :toast:

philosophy, what're you running for a router? I found that it actually makes quite a substantial difference, especially when running multiple rigs (i run a VM). switching to a smoothwall box *conservatively* gave me an extra 250k/day

I have the us robotics 8054 wireless g turbo router, running kids on a turbo 125M a sec usb plugin, Id hate to have to disc them just to get back to 2 mil a day, thatd suck..
I wanna be 4-6 mil a day if possible, with a 8M downline

At folks place this week, so no production. This PC overheats and dies when the buckets need compressing so its a no-goer here :(

Dragonorta, i had the same problem with MJ-12 shutting down. Reinstalling the .net framework, windows installer and NDP2.0 solved the problem.

My amount of workers seem to have decreased lately for some reason. Only about half of what it used to be, and i'm still getting this weird graph, which is insanely high.

Ive got machines sold, so until Conroe actually ships, im dead in the water as MJ12 is concerned along with Rosetta. The other machines i can use, were dumping to much heat.. so im relaxed on it now..

yeah, i (and others no doubt) were aware of your bind of conroe availibility = zero

I'm giving everything to R@H til CASP7 is over, then I'll be back...til I get a cease & desist letter from my ISP.

That explains a lot. I'm so happy the heatwaves are over over here... :(

I sent my pofs laptop back to Acer (as its faulty, and the gfx card is overheating, and thats why I have been pretty quiet for the last few weeks)

I am on my parents eig downstairs, and have set up majestic 12, dimes, and red library to run for the team)

I will tell them to keep this machine on 24\7, and hopefully will max out my 4mb connection.

Should help us get a few more points anyway:toast:

Hey all, I just joined up on MJ12, Dimes, and Red Library...im wondering mj12 is the area were most lacking or what? I got plenty of spare bandwidth I just need to know how to distribute it.

Also I been digging around DC and here for about 5hrs and still can't find how to set up the stats sig. I found the specs I think but not sure how to apply em? any help here would be most appreciated

MJ12 is where we are lacking most. We are #1 in Dimes, and red library is limited to 3 per person or something.

we are indeed lacking on MJ12... i'm personally down on MJ12 until my new rig is up, but once i'm back it'll be at full steam if not faster

Quick question guys, I've noticed a few users with a way better mb to url ratio than most.. are there some domains to go with or stay away from to increase output?

Haltech
