Are these G.Skill using the Micron D9 chip ('Fat Boy')? I was thinking about buying these for my C2D. Will they work with Gigabyte P965 DS3? Is there any known compatability issues with this mobo or any other problems?

if it is the new revision of that set it should be d9 (its not d9 fatbody) i use to have the old revision it came with that background in the package, i RMA'ed that set and get a new set that had D9 IC's and the background had a indy race car on it. So from looking at that picture i would say it is an old set, you may want to call the company and ask them to read you the serial number.
