I’m sure a lot of you have scratched a case at least once while in the process of messing around with your systems. How do you fix a bad scratch on a case? The case I own is the black version of this one HERE (http://www.silverstonetek.com/products-tj05.htm).

The scratch on the top panel, on the left side, near the front. Someone told me its some kind of "powder" ....something paint job. I don't remember what exactly they said. How do I repair it? I fixed the paint job on my truck when I side swiped a mailbox a few years ago, so I at least some experience with paint repair.

I want this case to be nice, and something I can show. I don't want it looking sh*tty, especially after the time I've put into my system. I’m sure you all feel the same way. :)

This is a heavy gauge steel case, meaning its very durable and built like a tank. It's most likely going to outlast it's paint job, so I'm going to have to know how to do this later anyway.

I recently added a fanhole Virgin Modder - Lian-Li V2000 Plus Top Blowhole (http://www.aoaforums.com/forum/case-modifications/37074-virgin-modder-lian-li-v2000-plus.html) & like you said got the odd scratch i was going to colour match but someone suggested a black permanent marker which i must admit was a lot better than i expected was originally going to take the cutouit & get it matched etc., haven't bothered.;)

If it is bad I mostly decide to give my cases an entirely new paint job.
Black is easy, some layers clear coat afterwards makes it a lot more durable and scratch resistant ;)

.........I have never seen a retail powdercoated case.......custom cases do not count. :D

Anodized, acrylic, laquer, and elcheapo are all I can think of......
