Go here, and click the "I want to join this team" http://stats.distributed.net/team/tmsummary.php?project_id=8&team=31529

This only works if you have already sent in work. If you put in your email(it doesn't work with your username if you changed it) into the participant search, you will see if your stats are registered yet. If you show up, then the above method will work.

Yes. You have to wait till your stats start showing in their page.

thanks, I will let you know if I can't get it.
It is the first step on the farm. One at a time.

On a side note. If I get enough stats to look like I am worth a crap were do I get the stats thing every one puts in there sig?

Yeah, they only update the stats server once a day. Once you are showing up when you enter your email, there is a button at the bottom that says "please email me my password." Check your email and there will be a password that you will need in order to join the team, as well as change your info, so you can pick what name is displayed on their's and others stats servers.

edit: What kind of comp are you running? I'm only using my ibook g4 on it, and I get pretty good points with it.

for osx, you want to open a terminal, then type "cd_", then drag the dnetc folder into the terminal. after you are in the proper directory, type "./dnetc -config". this should bring up the configurations screen. under option 1, make sure that the second option(complete this many packets) is set to 0 for unlimited, also make sure that the 3rd option is set to 0 for no limit as well.

For the linux client (and I'd guess the OSX client as well), run the client with the "-update" or "-flush" switch. For windows, right click on the window and choose "flush work".

[Jul 22 15:47:19 UTC] RC5-72: Sent 21 packets (21.00 stats units) to server.
[Jul 22 15:47:40 UTC] OGR-P2: Sent 17 packets (1102.36 stats units) to server.
[Jul 22 15:47:40 UTC] Connection closed.
Here is my page with my stats up (http://stats.distributed.net/participant/psummary.php?project_id=8&id=458125)
So I know it is uploading but why can't I get my stats and set it up for XS to get credit?

Edit:I am joined on D.net for team XS finally, so now I guess I wait for the server refresh and see what happens.

I'll help you out.
You are now in the stats but you didn't join any team. Maybe in you are not getting the password

Try again and go here (http://stats.distributed.net/participant/psummary.php?project_id=8&id=458125) and click "Please email me my password".

After go to "Edit your information", the username is your number and not your email address, yours is 458125 and set up your account.

One thing I am not understanding. You want to join XS and have Free-DC signature, right?

[XC] mysticmerlin
07-23-2006, 03:56 AM
yes. It says I am part of the XS team on the Free-DC site but not showing up in the sig thingy

Well, your showing up on the team under free-dc. You could be the first xtremesystems member to be in the top10 daily in OGR.

Nice output. Its nice to see a new face on the stats page.

On the statstool config page, make sure that you have "458125XtremeSystems" under both ogr and rc5. If you don't have your number and "xtremesystems" at the end, it won't work. You also can change your name to something else if you don't want it under your email.

Glad to help. My ogr is slightly over what I usually do, so I'd say you'll be in the 6k/day point range.
