Hi all,
Ive just replaced a system board in a Ibm/Lenovo T40 (23738CG) and as you may know you need to update the model and type numbers to generate the new UUID number.
BUT since the bios update utility program only lets you change the type (8cg) i still cant change the model number :(
ive also spoken to ibm and they have said that you cant do it and they MUST do it....
so i was hoping that someone would know of a way to change the model and type numbers?
