I have a new 320 seagatebrand new never formatted, can I just through it into a sata port on my comp, already have a 80 gig wd with xp on it, the bios can see the new drive but I don't see it in disk defragmenter sorry for being ignorant thx for any help:(
Driver for SATA(n) disk controller installed?

DId you activate the drive in Disk manager? If not you can get there by right clicking on my computer and going to "Manage". Then from there you click on "disk managment" to initialize the disk.
yes on the sata driver, and my other drive the 80 is sata, going to try the disk management thing right now thx for the replies was putting in my zalman down awhile
that did it its there dont what to do with it lol:brick: ,think I need to formatt it some how thx for help atleast I see it now and its initialized

Well now that you can see the disk in windows you are able to format and such from windows so that should make things easier. Glad I could be of help.
