Asus P5W DH Deluxe, Intel's own board and DFI 975x Infiinity boards are available now.

Any other boards releasing soon?

From MSI or Gigabyte, etc?

Will they be any good? Any samples?

MSI has one, Coolaler has done loads of testing on it
Gigabyte is testing BIOS, it looks good on paper and overclocks pretty well. It had pretty bad vdroop on release, dunno if that has been fixed with a new revision.
Foxconn will have one. All we know is the Victor Wang said it will be fast.

isnt that the server-class one, and not really of interest to overclockers? (not intended to sound rhetorical)

Server class? What defines a Conroe board as such?

I haven't seen the spec's, but a desktop Conroe board with integrated SAS would be a godsend.

Doesn't it have PCI-X slots?

The Asus is really only a workstation board by their definition. The addition of PCI-X, a focus on low noise, and a high price tag are the main differences :)

With as much L2 cache as the C2 have, I'd be really interested to see how a desktop Conroe chip would perform in a server role. I wouldn't be surprised to see it outperform most, if not all, of the previous generation's Xeons.
