Best memory for Conroe?

I'm looking to build a new Conroe system.

I'd like to get 4GBs of RAM, but I don't want to spend $1000.00 for it!!! :D

What would be the best RAM, speedwise and in OCing, which would give me the most bang for the buck?

How about the Corsair XMS DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)?

Do you think that it would pose an issue when I OC, and would it be best to drop the memory divider and OC back up to the RAM's nominal FSB, or does it have enough headroom to OC much further above the default speed?
