CCB1E didn't exist back then AFAIK.

0550UPMW can be pretty good. Use the search functions!

0550 CCBWE, it's one of the golden stepping. my 165 can do 2.9 Ghz on water, 3.0 Ghz when naked. so i am expecting 175 should do more than that.

I tested a 170 CCBWE 0550UPWM from Newegg yesterday and kinda sucked... It would only do 2650 and needed 1.65 to get there...

:D Will get my new 175 CCBWE 0550 UPMW in a few hours. We will see....... ;)

@pcdoc1 :

I'm pretty sure Ya problem is caused by a bad fitting IHS. Try to test both cores with prime and U'll see one of 'em will back out early... :slapass:

So rip off the nasty sucker and U'll have a damn nice clocker in Ya house.

arent they hit or miss? i seem to recall some hitting 3 GHz with less then 1.5v. the others stink tho.

Well, these definitely are a golden stepping, not *platinum* like some of the later 0608s/0601s, but it does have one trump card:

No coldbug until ~-45C core temps (typically).

:D Nice to know but I'm going only with WC. Hoping for 2800MHz + with
~1.45 Vcore.:rolleyes:

This is my first DC chip. Special offer in Europe - 399 € is a good price for an Opty 175 here.:clap:

UPDATE:: The bomb is in da house now...........
