I just put a comp on BBC Climae Prediction, because of our very low standing in that project in the Vault.
Anybody want to help.:stick:
Be aware that installing BBCPDN, installs it's own version of Boinc, and overides the old one. It also seems to have dumped the other projects that were running.

Yes, it does that, but you can re-install the optimized client and re-attach to your other projects (although you lose all your waiting WUs, so make sure you update before you install BBC)

I still have the same version of BOINC installed and all my other projects are still attached. I have not restarted BOINC yet, so maybe they are all gone. I do not know.
But for now everything is fine.

I currently am a bit over-extended with the two machines I have but I will definetly shunt over some resources when I have more cores to throw into the fray.

after a small calculation, i realized it would take about 55 days to complete 1 WU on my DX @ 3.15.
I dropped the project.
back to predictor it is.
It's a trickle in, credit project.

It's a trickle in, credit project.
What does that mean, and about how much credit will i get per day on my DX?

Points accrue as the WU progresses. The WU is divided up into little sections that update to the main server to verify that the WU is making realistic predictions (imagine a model that claimed snow in the Sahara in July). You get credit awarded after each successful update. I get about 227 points every other day, but I only run it 50% of the time....
